Youth Sailing Program

Our Jr. Sailors youth program runs year round, all day in the summer, and after school and weekends in the fall and spring. Ages range from 6 years in our Mini Mates program to 17 in our teen through adult program. We offer a variety of sailing coursesto suit all abilities. Some activities we offer include: Begining thru Advanced Junior Classes, J -24 Sailing, a Sailing Club and Specialty Programs in Mission Bay, Newport Beach adn Catalina Island. The Jr. program involves over 1000 kids annually, many of whom are returning customers. Our students remember Jr. Sailors as a quality, professional program where they've met new friends, had fun in a safe environment and for many, experienced sailing for the first time. Sailing is a prime opportunity to expose young people to the ocean environment. This lifelong sport combines intelligence and coordination and builds self-confidence and teamwork. Westwind Sailing has an excellent reputation in the community. At the US Sailing Community Boating Conference in 1994, we were honored by the United States Sailing Association with the 'Excellence in Sailing Instruction' award.

Adult Sailing Program

Learning to sail is safe easy and fun. We offer a range of strictly adult programs for people 18 years through seniors. Once you have received a"successful completion" card from T-Adult II or Adult Sailing II, we would love to have you join our Westwind Sail Club.
